Carboxymethyl starch (CMS) is a modified starch etherized with carboxymethyl, and its performance is better than carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), which is the best product to replace CMC.
Unique properties and functionality:
1.CMS is used as excipient, plasticizer and reinforcer for blanks in ceramic industry.
It can increase the bonding force of billet, make the billet easy to form, double the flexural strength, and effectively reduce the damage rate of billet;
It can also make the water in the blank evaporate evenly to prevent drying and cracking.
2.CMS added to the glaze slurry as a stabilizer and binder can enhance the glaze combination, make the glaze body in a dispersed state, improve the surface tension of glaze, increase the smoothness of glaze, reduce the pinhole phenomenon after drying.
